Cleary Gottlieb has received China Business Law Journal’s Deal of the Year award for advising on ZhongAn’s $1.5 billion Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO).
The firm represented JP Morgan Securities (Far East) Ltd., Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Ltd., UBS Securities Hong Kong Ltd. and CMB International Capital Ltd. as joint sponsors and joint global coordinators of the initial public offering. The listing was the world’s first “insuretech” public offering and was the largest technology IPO in Hong Kong in 2017.
