Cleary Gottlieb partners Leah Brannon, George Cary, and Dave Gelfand and counsel Cunzhen Huang were panelists at the ABA Antitrust Law 2019 Spring Meeting.
Leah spoke on a panel titled, “Unexpected Outcomes: When Merger Review Breaks Bad,” discussing how companies can prepare unexpected risks and what lessons can be learned by these examples for counselors. George was a panelist discussing “Sham Litigation after FTC v. AbbVie,” surveying the current state of play in litigating the sham exception to Noerr-Pennington immunity. Dave was a speaker on an ethics panel titled, “Words Can Definitely Hurt You!” about how to ethically and effectively help clients think before they write. Cunzhen participated in the panel, “Antitrust IP: The Dark Side of the Moon,” discussing recent matters involving trademark and copyright and how how developments are shaping the intersection of Antitrust and IP.
