Cleary Gottlieb Receives HRC’s 2023-2024 ‘Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion’

November 30, 2023

Cleary Gottlieb has earned the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRC) “Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion,” receiving a score of 100 on the 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

The CEI is the HRC’s national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. Cleary again joins the ranks of an elite group of major U.S. businesses that also received top marks this year.

To achieve a score of 100 and the coveted distinction as recipient of the “Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion,” firms must have fully inclusive equal employment opportunity policies, provide equal employment benefits, demonstrate organizational LGBTQ+ competency, evidence their commitment to equality publicly, and implement internal guidelines prohibiting philanthropic giving to organizations that discriminate against LGBTQ+ people.
