Cleary Gottlieb associate Elizabeth C. Robinson was selected as one of the most promising young attorneys from 200 participants in Chief Legal Executive’s “Think Like a GC” national program.
Liz presented her business development and client services skillset in front of leading in-house counsel from Fortune 500 companies. Due to her impressive showing at the event, she has been selected as a moderator in the Think Like a GC Ask Me Anything webinar series, where she will interview Lucy Fato, Vice Chair-elect of American International Group (AIG). The interview and webinar will air on September 22, 2023.
The Think Like a GC national program is produced by Chief Legal Executive, a multi-dimensional coaching, training, and consulting platform designed specifically to advance the careers of attorneys. Think Like A GC 2023 focuses on diverse and female attorneys and the organizations they serve. It is an annual program designed for senior associates to develop the crucial skills needed to acquire, maintain, and grow business—namely by being able to think like a law department leader and become true trusted advisors—by interacting with general counsel and their deputies from Fortune 500 and equivalent companies.
The program is comprised of three, in-person, all-day sessions in New York City, where senior associates get the chance to work closely with in-house counsel who manage and instruct outside counsel. In the third session, the associates do their final presentations, receiving feedback on business development and client services, and graded by the in-house counsel based on their presence and the substance of their presentations.
