Jinduk Han’s practice includes a wide range of international securities and corporate matters including private placements and public offerings of the debt and equity securities of a large number of Asian issuers, primarily those based in Korea.
Notably, he led the Cleary team representing the Republic of Korea in the country’s first-ever global debt offering during the Asian financial crisis. He has also led the firm’s team representing the issuer on a number of Korean privatizations, including KT Corporation and POSCO and has acted as issuer’s counsel on three of the four largest IPOs with an international tranche listed on the Korea Exchange, which consist of Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Biologics and Netmarble Games.
Jinduk joined the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1997. He was resident in the New York office from 1989 to 1993 and the Hong Kong office from 1993 to 2016 and has been based in the Seoul office since 2016. During a leave of absence in 1991, he worked at the law firm of Kim & Chang in Seoul, Korea.
