Graduate Recruitment

FAQs

When are your application deadlines and when do the vacation schemes take place?
Please view the attached timetable here.

How should I apply?
Applications for both vacation placements and trainee solicitor positions should be submitted via our website. All candidates should submit a cover letter and CV including a breakdown by subject of all A-Level (or equivalent) and degree results where known.

Who should I address my covering letter to?
Please address your covering letter to the Graduate Recruitment Committee.

Who do you recruit?
We recruit undergraduate law students who are in their penultimate year. We also recruit final year non-law students. Exceptionally, we may consider students at an earlier stage of undergraduate study.

I am not an EU national, can I still apply?
Yes. We accept applications from candidates who are EU nationals and who are non-EU nationals.

Do I need to have studied in the UK to be eligible for a training contract with the firm?
We would expect potential trainees to have studied at undergraduate level within the UK but we will consider applications from candidates who have studied law at a graduate or post-graduate level in a common law jurisdiction.

How do you select vacation scheme associates?
Successful candidates will be invited to join an open day programme.

Do you offer ad-hoc work experience?
We only offer work experience through our vacation placements.
