Cleary Gottlieb and Pap Diouf Shortlisted for IFLR Africa Awards 2026

Cleary Gottlieb has been shortlisted for eight IFLR Africa Awards 2026: 

• Francophone Africa International Firm of the Year 
• Capital Markets Team of the Year
• Infrastructure Team of the Year
• Sovereign Loans Team of the Year
• Debt Capital Markets Deal of the Year (Republic of Benin Debt-For-Development Swap and Republic of Côte d’Ivoire Sovereign Bond)
• Projects Deal of the Year (Port autonome de Cotonou)
• Sovereign Loans Deal of the Year (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire Sustainability-linked Loan and Republic of Togo Sustainable Financing)

Cleary associate Pap Diouf was also shortlisted in the Rising Stars (International) category.

The IFLR Africa Awards 2026 celebrate outstanding achievements and legal innovation in cross-border investment across the African continent from the past year. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa on March 17.
