Cleary Gottlieb partner David Herrington and counsel Paul Stuart participated in the 8th World Congress Against the Death Penalty.
The firm’s Guide to African Court and Commission Jurisprudence Concerning the Rights of Individuals in the Criminal Justice System launched during the session, “Sub-Saharan Africa on the Vanguard of Abolition.” David introduced the guide and honored the late Katia Pritchard, a former associate and lead contributor to the publication. Paul followed and provided additional details about the guide.
David also spoke with Ndume Olatushani, our former death row pro bono client, on the Paris Bar-sponsored panel, “Witness Event: Death Row Prisoners and Their Lawyer, a Unique Partnership.”
