Paralegal Careers: Bay Area

Cleary Gottlieb recruits paralegals who are graduates of four-year colleges and universities with strong academic backgrounds.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational ability, and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Because many of our clients are multinational corporations and international institutions, we actively recruit individuals with foreign language capabilities, particularly Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Korean and Japanese.

Our Bay Area paralegal program is an essential element of the services we provide to our clients. We also conduct on-the-job training designed to help integrate new paralegals into various practice areas by pairing them with experienced paralegals and lawyers.

In addition to recruiting paralegals at colleges, universities and regional college consortia, we welcome online applications. We expect candidates interested in our paralegal program to be willing to work in a position for at least two years before considering other opportunities.

If you are interested in joining the paralegal staff in our Bay Area offices, please view our current opportunities in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Entry-level applicants should be prepared to submit a cover letter, unofficial transcript and writing sample along with a resume.
