Cleary Privacy Roundtable Breakfast: Virtual Privacy Breakfast
May 04, 2020
Cleary Gottlieb hosted a breakfast seminar, “Virtual Privacy Breakfast,” part of its Privacy Roundtable Breakfast Series.
The severity of the COVID-19 outbreak combined with the impact of responsive measures to contain the spread of the disease has resulted in a variety of unprecedented challenges to business operations. As companies prepare to reopen, the potential for new health checks and related data collection for returning employees will raise significant new privacy risks. Similarly, continued widespread remote work can create additional vulnerabilities to computer networks and opportunities for cyber-attacks, while potentially making the response to cyber-incidents more difficult. Lawyers from Cleary discussed best practices to manage these heightened privacy and cybersecurity risks amid the current crisis.
