Frankfurt, Germany

On February 1, 2017, Cleary Gottlieb’s partners Erika W. Nijenhuis and Daniel Weyde organized a tax seminar in our Frankfurt office, in association with the IFA.

Erika spoke on current developments in U.S. international tax law from a U.S point of view and Daniel commented on the latest developments from a German perspective.

During the session they discussed current U.S. international tax developments that are relevant for foreign taxpayers doing business in the U.S. The principal topic was the prospect of international tax reform in 2017, including a discussion of alternatives being considered and the processes for enacting the legislation. The discussion was followed by a Q&A session.
