Cleary Gottlieb associate Chihiro Isozaki participated in a conversation about the U.S. Supreme Court case Moore v. Harper, organized by Human Rights Watch in collaboration with Cleary.
Participants discussed the consequential voting rights case and whether it is necessary to preserve the ability for citizens to challenge the redrawing of a voting district map in court if they feel their rights have been violated. A ruling in the case will likely not be issued until mid-2023, but the Court’s decision could shape the future of democracy in the United States.
