Cleary Gottlieb Pro Bono Immigration Attorney Kyle Dandelet participated in the four-part New York Immigration Coalition: Legal Research and Writing Training Series.

The multi-session online training series provided practitioners with an introduction to legal research and writing in the context of immigration. The series began with an overview of preliminary concepts such as legal authority, hierarchy of law, and mandatory vs. persuasive authority, which was followed by a session on where and how to research and how to ensure your sources are updated. Next, participants were introduced to structured legal writing with a particular emphasis on immigration law.
