On February 19, 2014, Cleary Gottlieb partner Erika Nijenhuis participated in the Tax Council Policy Institute’s 15th Annual Tax Policy & Practice Symposium.
Ms. Nijenhuis was a speaker in the panel entitled “Other Aspects of a Competitive Tax System: The Role of Taxation in the Deployment of Financial Capital.”
This panel focused on how tax rules in the United States and abroad affect how companies choose to deploy capital through equity, debt, or hybrid instruments.
