América Móvil in Six SEC-Registered Debt Offerings Equivalent to Approximately $5.2 Billion

Cleary Gottlieb represented América Móvil in the original offerings of four series of debt securities and the reopenings of two of such series in July-August 2012. All the offerings were SEC-registered shelf take-downs.

On July 2, América Móvil sold €1 billion 3.000% Senior Notes due 2021, which closed on July 12. This was the first Euro-denominated bond offering by a non-European issuer this year. The notes were listed on Luxembourg’s Euro MTF Market.

América Móvil sold an aggregate of $1.6 billion 3.125% Senior Notes due 2022 (consisting of $1.25 billion sold in the original offering and $350 million sold in the reopening) and an aggregate of $1.15 billion 4.375% Senior Notes due 2042 (consisting of $750 million sold in the original offering and $400 million sold in the reopening). The original offerings of both series priced on July 9 and closed on July 16. The reopenings of both series priced on July 30 and closed on August 7. The notes were listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

On July 30, América Móvil sold £750 million 4.375% Senior Notes due 2041, which closed on August 7. The notes will be listed on Luxembourg’s Euro MTF Market.
