Cleary Gottlieb represented the underwriters, led by Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, and Mizuho Securities USA LLC, in an SEC-registered shelf takedown by American Express of $750 million 3% notes due February 22, 2021, and $1.25 billion 3.4% notes due February 22, 2024.
The offering priced on February 19, 2022, and closed on February 22, 2022.
