BNY Mellon’s $750 Million Offering

November 30, 2020

Cleary Gottlieb represented the underwriters in The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation’s registered offering of $750 million 0.350% senior medium-term notes Series J due 2023.

The joint bookrunning managers for the offering were Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Santander, and BNY Mellon Capital Markets. The transaction priced on November 30, 2020, and will settle on December 7, 2020. The 0.35% coupon is tied for the lowest three-year senior debt coupon ever in the corporate bond market, and the pricing represents the tightest post-financial crisis spread for a financial institution.
