Cleary Gottlieb Named Italian Energy – Oil & Gas Firm of the Year by TopLegal

Cleary Gottlieb was named Italian Energy – Oil & Gas Firm of the Year at the 2017 TopLegal Industry Awards.

The nomination panel noted that Cleary has “a multidisciplinary structure, specializing particularly in M&A transactions and antitrust at national and EU level. It assisted Snam in relation to the demerger of Italgas and activities relating to urban gas distribution in Italy.”   

TopLegal is a specialized trade journal covering the Italian legal market. The shortlist and the final award for each category were determined by TopLegal and a panel composed of the general counsel of leading Italian companies, as well as professionals from the worlds of finance and business.

The TopLegal awards ceremony was held in Milan on May 18, 2017.
