Equant in €564 Million France Telecom Buyout Offer

Cleary Gottlieb is representing France Telecom subsidiary Equant in France Telecom’s proposed offer to purchase the 45.8% interest in Equant that it does not already own. France Telecom made the offer, valued at approximately €564 million.
Equant provides global communications services to thousands of the world’s top companies through an extensive portfolio of communications services and network solutions, including the IP VPN used by nearly 1,300 global businesses. France Telecom is the second-largest wireless operator and Internet access provider in Europe, and is one of the world’s leading telecommunications carriers.
