Cleary Gottlieb was a finalist at the ninth annual Financial Times North America Innovative Lawyers Awards and was “Highly Commended” for innovation in Technology and Data.
The awards complement FT’s North America Innovative Lawyers Report, a publication covering the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, which ranks and recognizes law firms on their innovation both for clients and their own businesses.
Cleary was noted in the report for creating a tool to identify documents that contain privilege clauses, which uses machine learning that results in a cost reduction of 90% for clients. Senior attorney Christian Mahoney was commended for his work in this area and was interviewed in the report here.
