Cleary Gottlieb Wins Three American Lawyer “Global Legal Awards”

Cleary Gottlieb is counsel in three matters selected by The American Lawyer as winners of its inaugural “Global Legal Awards,” which recognize the best cross border legal work across a range of practice areas. The American Lawyer received over 300 nominations from firms around the world for the awards and an awards dinner will be held on September 23 in New York to honor the winners and announce four additional grand prizes.

The winning matters are:

  • Global Finance Deal of the Year: Public Restructuring - Greece’s Debt Restructuring
    (Cleary represented Greece)
  • Global M&A Deal of the Year: Chile - Anglo American Sur sales
    (Cleary represented Codelco)
  • Global M&A Deal of the Year: Russia - Rosneft’s acquisition of 
    TNK-BP
    (Cleary represented Rosneft)
