The 2015 edition of The Legal 500 Latin America once again ranked Cleary Gottlieb as a top law firm for international businesses.
Cleary held onto its Tier 1 rankings in three sectors: Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, and Corporate and M&A. The Legal 500 also recognized partners Richard Cooper, Nicolas Grabar, Jorge Juantorena, Jeffrey Lewis and Francesca Odell as leading lawyers for the region.
In two other areas, Cleary improved its standing from last year’s ranking: the firm went from Tier 3 to Tier 2 in the International Arbitration and Projects and Energy categories. The 2015 guide noted that Cleary’s “commitment to Latin America over many decades has also delivered it mandates throughout the region, from Mexico to Argentina,” adding that the firm “has such a strong franchise in Latin America as a result of its length of service and broad coverage in the region.
