Cleary Wins LatinFinance Best Law Firm and Seven Deals of the Year

Cleary Gottlieb has been named “Best Law Firm” in Latin America by LatinFinance for the fourth consecutive year. The award, which was presented at the magazine’s annual awards dinner in New York on January 14, recognizes the firm’s leading work across the region and its participation in several important transactions.

In addition, Cleary was counsel in seven transactions recognized by LatinFinance as “Deals of the Year”:

  • Domestic M&A Deal of the Year: Grupo Clarin $178 million acquisition of a 49 percent equity interest in Nextel Argentina
  • Financing Innovation of the Year; Quasi-Sovereign Bond of the Year: Pemex $6 billion jumbo bond sale and Pemex $1.6 billion Euroclearable bond sale
