Comisión Federal de Electricidad in $850 Million Bond Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented longtime client Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the Mexican state-owned electric company, in the issuance of $850 million aggregate principal amount of 3.875% notes due 2033.

The offering priced on July 20, 2021, and settled on July 26, 2021. The proceeds from the offering will be used to refinance existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

Barclays, BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, and Citigroup acted as global coordinators and joint bookrunning managers of the offering, while BBVA and Santander acted as joint bookrunning managers.

The notes are expected to be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
