Crédit Agricole in Annual Update of EMTN Program and 12 Offerings

Cleary Gottlieb represented Crédit Agricole S.A. in the annual update of its euro medium-term note (EMTN) program, which closed on April 6, 2023.

From January 2023 to March 2023, Cleary represented Crédit Agricole S.A. in 12 offerings of notes under its program for an aggregate nominal amount of €7.5 billion, ¥4 billion, CHF1.09 billion, £850 million, S$500 million, and $100 million, for a total amount in euro equivalent of about €10.03 billion.

The notes issued by Crédit Agricole S.A. are governed by French law and qualify as senior preferred notes, senior non-preferred notes, subordinated notes, or deeply subordinated notes. They bear either fixed, floating, or fixed-to-floating interest rates and are either listed or non-listed.

The offerings were syndicated or non-syndicated, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank acted as arranger and permanent dealer.
