Cleary Gottlieb represented Citigroup Venture Capital International as shareholder of Pesquera Exalmar S.A., a Peruvian fishery company, in connection with the initial $70 million financing of a two-step acquisition by Pesquera of 50% of the assets of Corporacion del Mar S.A., another Peruvian fishery. The financing closed on November 15.

Pesquera Exalmar, one of Peru’s top ten fishmeal and fish oil companies, operates four plants and 15 vessels in Peru, which is the world leader in the sector.
