Cleary Gottlieb is assisting F2i in the acquisition of Ital Gas Storage (IGS) from a fund managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure (92.5%) and Whysol Investments (7.5%).
The agreement provides for an initial transfer of 51% of the company to funds managed by F2i. The transfer of a further 49% share of the capital will take place during 2023. The closing of the transaction is expected to take place by the end of 2021, subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory authorizations.
F2i is the leading Italian infrastructure fund manager. IGS is an independent company that operates a natural gas storage facility located in Cornegliano Laudense (Lodi). Whysol Investments is an independent investment company founded and led by Alberto Bitetto.
