Kawa Capital Management in Sale of Preferred Shares of Kawa Solar Holdings Limited

Cleary Gottlieb represented Kawa Capital Management in the issuance by Kawa Solar Holdings Limited of preferred shares to Magnetar Capital LLC and Kawa Solar Partners LP. The transaction closed on March 3.

Kawa Solar is a photovoltaics sales and service company with units in the United States, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and Australia. Kawa Capital is an independent asset management firm based in Miami Beach, Florida with over $450 million in assets under management. Cleary Gottlieb previously represented Kawa Capital in its acquisition of the Kawa Solar business from Conergy AG, who was one of Germany’s leading renewable energy and photovoltaics companies.
