Sienna Investment Managers in Acquisition of Acofi

Cleary Gottlieb represented Sienna Investment Managers (Sienna), which is a subsidiary of investment management company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert and a platform for alternative investments, in connection with the acquisition of the Acofi group, which has been renamed Sienna Private Credit.

Sienna, which has €10 billion in assets under management, specializes in real estate and private equity directly and through funds of funds as well as in liquid asset classes. Acofi has €2.4 billion of assets under management and invests across corporate real estate, energy infrastructure, specialized financing of industrial companies, and public sector investing.

The transaction closed on March 11, 2022. Since the completion of the transaction, Sienna has been the sole controlling shareholder of Sienna Private Credit, the remaining stake being kept by the founders and management.
