Sky Italia Wins Again Before the Court of Milan

June 10, 2015

By decision issued on June 10, 2015, the Court of Milan dismissed an action brought by Digital World Television, a TV broadcaster of adult programs, against Sky Italia. DWT had requested the Court to issue an order obliging Sky Italia to keep providing technical services under an agreement that expired at the end of 2014.

The Court upheld a previous decision issued on March 3, 2015, and restated that Sky Italia legitimately stopped providing services at the expiry of the agreement, dismissing as unfounded DWT’s allegations of abuse of a dominant position and violation of regulatory provisions. The judge also ordered DWT to pay the legal fees and costs.
