Cleary Gottlieb represented Sony in its $380 million acquisition of Gaikai, a leading interactive cloud-based gaming company. With the acquisition, Sony will establish a new cloud-streaming service that will allow its users to instantly enjoy a broad array of content ranging from immersive core games with rich graphics to casual content on a variety of Internet-connected devices. The acquisition was announced on July 2 and closed on August 10.
