TermoEmcali in Unwinding of Restructured $153.7 Million Project Financing

Cleary Gottlieb was counsel to TermoEmcali and related companies in connection with the acquisition by a private equity consortium of a controlling interest in TermoEmcali and the unwinding of TermoEmcali’s formerly restructured project financing, including the early redemption of its $153.7 million senior secured notes due 2019. The transaction closed on June 30.

TermoEmcali is a Colombian company that operates an approximately 234 megawatt (net) combined cycle, natural gas-fired electric power generation facility near Cali, Colombia.
