Benet O’Reilly has been named “Dealmaker of the Week” by The American Lawyer for his role advising Suntory Holdings in its acquisition of Beam Inc. for approximately $16 billion. The accompanying article notes that the transaction is among the largest-ever outbound acquisitions by a Japanese company and is the largest acquisition in Suntory’s 115 year history. The transaction also makes Suntory the world’s third largest producer of spirits.
