Cleary Gottlieb represented TPG Capital in connection with the formation of its seventh flagship buyout fund, TPG Partners VII.
TPG VII held its final closing on April 28, 2016, with approximately $10.5 billion in commitments, making it TPG’s largest fund since 2008.
The fund had held its initial closing in January 2015.
