IT Service Desk Analyst
In our Cologne office, you will be responsible for the help desk, user support and office administration.
As a member of our global IT team, you will also provide remote support to users in other offices of our firm.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting users via telephone, email, in person and remotely, ensuring that all incidents are recorded through the ticket system.
- Analysing, classifying and processing requests, escalating to 2nd level support where necessary.
- Conducting structured troubleshooting of technical issues, including prompt and precise documentation in the ticket system.
- Administration of client systems and ensuring ongoing operations.
- Testing, configuring and installing new hardware and software components.
- Providing support for audio/video conferencing systems.
- Delivering high-quality, customer-oriented IT support, including to senior stakeholders such as partners and chiefs, with professionalism, discretion and sensitivity to business-critical requirements.
- Supporting the tracking, provisioning and management of IT assets (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals).
- Adhering to all local and global IT processes, procedures and policies.
- Contributing to the maintenance of internal support documentation and the IT knowledge base by sharing solutions and lessons learnt for the benefit of the entire team.
You have the following professional qualifications:
- Completed relevant professional qualification in IT or at least 2 years’ professional experience in IT user support.
- Good knowledge of working with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Good knowledge of network technology and current PC/server hardware.
- Good user knowledge of common office applications and other standard applications, particularly Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and Windows-based application programmes.
- Very good knowledge of iPhone support; knowledge of Intune administration an advantage.
- Sound experience in user support/assistance.
- Fluent German as well as very good oral and written communication skills in English.
