As a Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge research products, utilizing the firms leading AI tools and platforms. Your work will directly inform decision-making and contribute to our strategic planning and go-to-market efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Global Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager and wider team to implement innovative research strategies and deliver impactful products and services at a practice group, industry, and office level.
  • Research: Dive deep into client, industry and competitive research, synthesizing insightful outputs including company briefings and industry benchmarking reports, using a range of information sources, specialized tools, and market data.
  • Deliver: Create and deliver research products tailored to local requirements while maintaining a global approach.
  • Manage: Handle the day-to-day intake of research requests, prioritizing and responding to them efficiently.
  • Learn and Innovate: Continually hone your knowledge of research methods and technologies while identifying and experimenting with new opportunities.
  • Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert, keeping abreast of developments in the legal sector and wider business environment.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Analytical Skills & Benchmarking: Proven ability to conduct thorough data analysis and benchmarking, identifying key trends and insights to support strategic decision-making and competitive positioning.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively explain research to a wide audience, telling a story with the data to communicate insights.
  • Methods: Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including financial analysis and innovative visual techniques.
  • Data Visualization: Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to transform complex data sets into clear, compelling visual stories that drive strategic insights and decision-making.
  • Experience: Proven track record in delivering business research and information in a commercial or professional services organization; legal background preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of research sources, techniques, and technologies; ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into relevant research projects.
  • Agility: Confident in scoping complex requests and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Writing: Skilled in business writing and structured thinking methodologies.
  • Commercial Insight: Focused on drawing commercial linkages between research and business opportunities.
  • Impact: Excellent understanding of critical success criteria for high-quality research functions.
  • Collaboration: Ability to engage and influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across practice areas and regions.
  • Excel Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in utilizing Excel for data analysis, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques to derive actionable insights.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Post graduate qualification in an information, research or business-related discipline preferred.
