The New FDI Powers of the Italian Government (So-called Golden Power)
As part of the emergency legislation prompted by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Italian Government has further extended and enhanced its powers in connection with foreign direct investments. In our meeting with Francesco Iodice and Simone Marcon we discussed the new key role that the Government is playing in several M&A transactions, also in light of certain recent cases and further expected developments over the summer.
