The Government Special Powers on Foreign Investments: An Overview After the Recent Brexit Decree
Recent global focus on 5G technologies and the risk for national security that their misuse could pose have resulted in the Italian Government extending the scope of Italy’s foreign investment regulation to investments concerning such technologies. During our meeting we discussed the Government special powers on foreign investments, also in light of these and other high-tech related recent changes to the statutory framework, its main applications to date and expected future developments.
