In the 2019 edition of The Legal 500 U.S., published on May 29, Cleary Gottlieb’s e-Discovery practice placed in the top tier of the guide’s first-ever ranking of firms’ electronic discovery capabilities.
In its inaugural review of U.S. firms’ work in this category, the directory noted that Cleary’s “greatest strength is its cross-border discovery and data privacy practice,’ while its ‘understanding of how EU data protection and employment law impacts on U.S. discovery is unparalleled.’”
This high distinction comes as part of the firm’s impressive results overall in the 2019 edition of The Legal 500 U.S., where Cleary earned 42 practice rankings, 22 of which were top-tier. The firm also received 32 “Leading Lawyer” rankings, and 23 Cleary lawyers were included in The Legal 500 U.S. list of “Next Generation Lawyers.”
