EADS in $1 Billion Debut Yankee Bond Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented EADS in the offering of $1 billion of its 2.70% notes due 2023. The note offering represents EADS’ first fundraising in the U.S. dollar market.

The notes were offered by an EADS finance subsidiary for sale in the United States under Rule 144A and outside of the United States under Regulation S. The transaction, which closed on April 17, was managed by J.P. Morgan, Barclays and Citigroup for the initial purchasers.

EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defense and related services. In 2012, the Group – comprising Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – generated revenues of €56.5 billion.
