GCR Names Elaine Ewing and Daniel Culley to 40 Under 40 2020

May 12, 2020

Global Competition Review (GCR) has named Cleary Gottlieb partners Elaine Ewing and Daniel Culley to its 40 Under 40 list for 2020.

GCR profiled Elaine and Daniel as part of its survey, and both credited their mentors in helping them become leading antitrust practitioners. Elaine said, “I was very lucky to have great mentors from the beginning of my career, especially Mark Leddy, George Cary, and David Gelfand. Among the most valuable things I learned from them is to be relentless in pursuing the information you need and to build a case that is both intuitively compelling and supported by strong evidence.”

Daniel said, “I wouldn’t be where I am without the enormous amount of help I received from people in the field, from Professor Steve Salop at Georgetown, without whom I wouldn’t be in this position today; to every single one of the antitrust partners at Cleary, who each have spent countless hours helping me become the lawyer I am today.”

Cleary was also among two “global legal powerhouses” tied for the second most lawyer nominations in GCR’s 2020 list, with two of its lawyers featured. To read more about GCR’s 40 Under 40 2020, click here.
