Goldman Sachs As Financial Advisor in $400 Million Metals Divestiture

Cleary Gottlieb represented Goldman Sachs as financial advisor to Olin Corporation in the leveraged sale of its metal business for $400 million to KPS Capital Partners, completed in November.

Olin’s metal business produces copper and copper alloy sheet, strip, foil, rod, welded tube, fabricated parts, and stainless steel and aluminum strip. Olin’s other divisions manufacture chlorine and caustic soda, sodium hydrosulfite, hydrochloric acid, hydrogen, potassium hydroxide, bleach products, sporting ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components, and industrial cartridges.
