PBF to Acquire California Refinery From Shell for $1 Billion

Cleary Gottlieb is acting as antitrust counsel to PBF Energy Inc. (PBF), in connection with its acquisition of a Martinez, California, refinery from Equilon Enterprises LLC d/b/a Shell Oil Products US (Shell) for approximately $1 billion.

The transaction was announced on June 11, 2019.

Cleary has previously served as antitrust counsel to PBF on a number of matters.
