Eligibility of U.S. Subsidiaries and Branches of Non-U.S. Banks for Bailout Programs

November 21, 2008

For your information, below is a chart summarizing the eligibility of U.S. subsidiaries and branches of non-U.S. banks for the various U.S. government financial stabilization programs.

This chart reflects the final rule issued today by the FDIC regarding its debt guarantee program, which did not expand eligibility for that program to include FDIC-insured branches of foreign banks.

If you have any questions about the U.S. stabilization programs, please feel free to contact any member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group or your regular contacts in any of the firm’s offices worldwide.
