Peter North’s practice focuses on corporate taxation, with an emphasis on providing tax assistance on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and financing transactions.

Peter regularly advises on cross-border investment structures, capital and debt market offerings, employment-related tax issues, and transaction taxes such as stamp duty.

Peter joined the firm in 2023. Immediately prior to joining Cleary, he was an associate in the London office of another major international law firm. Before that, Peter practiced in New Zealand, where he also specialized in cross-border investment, transfer pricing, controversy, and tax policy matters.
