Cleary Gottlieb’s Brussels office hosted the Florence School of Regulation’s EU Energy Law Policy & Workshop, Clean Energy: The New Legal Challenges.

The workshop opened with a keynote address on “The Market Design Proposals and the Impact of the Energy Union at EU and Member State Level” by Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President for the Energy Union at the European Commission.

Cleary partner Francisco Enrique González-Díaz chaired the session on “New Antitrust Issues” at the event.

The workshop assessed the current legal issues surrounding the enforcement of EU antitrust rules and the changing role of governance in the energy sector in light of the Clean Energy Package.
