Cleary Gottlieb partner Robert L. Tortoriello will participate in the Financial Markets Association 2006 Treasury and Capital Markets Legal and Legislative Issues Conference to be held November 2-3, 2006 at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, Washington, D.C. The Conference has quite an impressive list of regulatory and financial institution representatives as speakers, and is targeted to general counsels, senior securities attorneys and senior compliance professionals.

Some of the topics to be discussed are: information security and retention issues, AML, derivatives and conflicts of interest, and there will be panels featuring banking/securities general counsels and SEC division reports. The conference is eligible for CLE/CPE accreditation and fulfills New York’s ethics requirement.

Mr. Tortoriello will be speaking the first day on Current Developments covering push-out issues, Basel II/operational risk, bank trading activities and other current topics of interest.
