In May 2017, the FX Global Code was published. It is intended to provide a common set of principles to enhance the integrity and effective functioning of the wholesale foreign exchange markets.

In this seminar, Cleary Gottlieb partners Bob Penn, Colin Lloyd and associate Christina Edward discussed the interaction of the Code with existing legislation and regulation in the EU and U.S., and what potential changes to existing operating models, compliance procedures and legal documentation will be required by market participants.
