June 26, 2026

Event Overview Tab

Paris, France

Merger control is undergoing a period of significant transformation on both sides of the Atlantic.

In Europe, the Commission has just published its draft merger guidelines. New assessment criteria, an expansion of the authorities’ powers, and increasingly divergent approaches between Brussels and Washington, D.C. are reshaping the landscape, and with it, the strategies companies and their advisors must adopt.

Cleary’s antitrust team is organizing the Global Merger Control Conference, alongside Concurrences. The conference will feature insight from Guillaume Loriot (European Commission) and Dina Kallay (U.S. Department of Justice), among other leading practitioners and policymakers.

Cleary partners will moderate various panels throughout the conference:

  • Introductory Remarks: Frédéric De Bure, Séverine Schrameck
  • Opening Discussion - Shifts in Merger Policy: What’s the EU and U.S. Perspective?: Frédéric De Bure, Séverine Schrameck
  • How Is the Geopolitical Context Reshaping Merger Review?: Romi Lepetska
  • Is There a Limit to the Expansion of Merger Control?: Anita Magraner Oliver
  • Closing Discussion: François-Charles Laprévote
