Lex Climatica 2026: Opening Conference

Cleary Gottlieb associate Robert Garden will participate in the opening conference of the Lex Climatica 2026 competition, hosted by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.

The Lex Climatica moot court competition is the first intercontinental moot court focused on international climate change law, bringing together university teams from across the African continent and beyond to argue cases related to climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Robert will speak at the opening conference, organized on the theme of “The fight against global warming in Agenda 2063: A focus on the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights,” as well as serving as a jury member for the moot court competition.
